I've made it to my third night here in Seoul. The first night, was an immediate crash to bed at about 9:50 PM, but woke up at 4:30 AM and slept most of the day after 11 AM. The second I managed to get to sleep at about 2:40 AM (I was hungry already) and stay sleeping until 7:30 AM... starting to feel normal about it. I even accomplished pushing back a nap until around 7 PM and was up again an hour later. Yay! I'm adjusting. Didn't actually go to bed until 10:30 PM like I typically do at home, but my stomach is still on East Coast USA time. Woke up at 2:30 AM with tummy grumbles because at home I would be eating lunch now. Hahaha.
My second night, as I was enjoying a show on tv... the power cut out. We have an electronic key pad and the door unlocks electronically as well. So, lights start flashing out of nowhere and as their flashing the door starts beeping. Scared the living daylights out of me as I thought it was some kind of alarm no one warned me about. Looking out the window, I discovered that our whole neighborhood was flashing its lights and finally poof they were completely out. Not sure if I'd be able to get out of the apartment because of the electronic lock I watched a few men venture out into the darkness with flashlights, interesting it was only masculine figures out side. Not a single brave female went to find out what was happening. Power was out for about five minutes then the flashing started and it was back on. I returned to my show and an hour later, my apartment mate came back from hanging out with friends. We stayed up and talked until around 2:30 AM before deciding it was time to sleep.
